My Favourite Crystals Part 1~ Snowflake Obsidian.

I love crystals! they can provide comfort, motivation, protection and many other services if you are open to them and respect their power, some help me more than others so I will be exploring my absolute favourite ones and explaining why I find them so easy to work with. The first up is Snowflake Obsidian.

What is Snowflake Obsidian?

Snowflake Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass containing the mineral Cristobalite in the form of white "snowflake" crystal patterns.

I carry my Snowflake Obsidian around in my bra and at the moment I feel lost without it. It really grounds me and helps me be present in the moment, I’m a bit of an over thinker and my speciality is thinking about the past and how I could have done things differently. As we all know that is a massive waste of time and energy so having this stone close to my heart is a huge help.

This stone has also helped me a lot with dealing with and processing a really painful break up, it has helped me draw my emotions to the surface and deal with them in a calm and centred way. It was painful at first but the pain has cooled and what is left behind is a fresh beginning, a rebirth, it has helped me shed away the layers of emotional attachment and use those difficult emotions to really think about what I want in my life so I can move on in a non-destructive way. I’m really happy that I have processed this hurt sensibly and I’m now ready to move on with my life.

As well as aiding healing from emotional trauma this stone has helped me centre and focus myself so not only do I now have my own lane I am able to stay in it and move forward with confidence. I am now more focused with the task in hand and my mind rarely wanders unless I want it to. It slows me down when I feel manic and grounds me, I pay more attention to my surroundings and the earth when I’m carrying this stone so it really is a beautiful stone to have with you on nature walks.

Snowflake Obsidian is also a wonderful stone to have close during meditation and spell work, it helps open up your mind and enhances psychic abilities
